Is it true? Are you your own worst enemy? For many of us, this is sadly the case. Whether we ever come to acknowledge it or not, we truly are our own worst enemy. As worried as you are about everyone else’s opinions, you, yourself, are guilty of the worst criticisms you’ve received.
I am so guilty of this. And it’s cost me a lot, honestly. There’s no bigger regret than not doing what you want to do when you initially wanted to do it. I’ve recently noticed on average it takes me 5 YEARS to put a business plan into action from when I first think about it. That’s actually insane. Not for one specific reason either, but for a million little ones. There are so many business ventures I have planned but put on the back burner waiting for “the right time”. News flash, you don’t really know when the right time is, so just do it! I’ve wasted years and years doing behind the scenes work and not actually sticking to the plan. STICK TO THE PLAN!
Your ideas are absolutely incredible and they are begging to be brought to life. You and I are doing everyone a disservice by not actually doing the thing we’re being called to do. Because I promise you, people are waiting for it!
What makes you nervous? Failure? Who cares, try again. And again. And again. That’s how you figure it out. You can’t care so much about the trivial things. ESPECIALLY if it sabotages your happiness. Showing up to do the thing could lead to so many new opportunities and new adventures.
To be honest, I frequently feel like I need to pull my life back together. Often because the structure starts slipping. All of a sudden I haven’t used my planner for a few weeks and now I don’t really know what’s going on and feel like I’ve maybe missed something. Not getting everything I need to get done and every few months there’s always a huge life event. I have yet to built something that keeps me going and withstands the hurricane winds of my life.
Why have I waited so long? I can’t wait any longer. I’m done being my own worst enemy. I’m ready to be my biggest cheerleader.
6 Months left of 2024. Let’s see what we can do.
